S D Jain Modern School organised Diwali Fiesta on 2nd of November in the sprawling ground of SDJ Sports Academy, Vesu-Surat.
The fiesta was to set the mood for Diwali and entertain the community at large. The Academy was illuminated with lights. Emanating smell of inter continental cuisine arrested even the passerby.
Inaugural function was graced by the Chairman, Paras Education Trust – Shri Kailashji Jain . Then the Chief Guest and invited dignitaries escorted by the team walked into the arena. They visited the entertainment, Game, Food, Fun and Frolic Zones. Student owner of the stalls earned the appreciation of one and all for their cultured behaviour and business acumen.
The entire area was jam packed. More than 6000 people frequented different stalls and then the competitions arrested their movement. The panel of judges declared the results of winners.

Students explained about Noble Prize Winners of 2014 who discovered LED, how LED works, Economic Light Meter genetically engineered plant starlight Avatar, Uses of Light, Hologram, How transmission loss can be prevented, green building, Mars orbital Mission, application of Light in mathematics, Laser communication, Fun with Light, occupancy Light indicator, Biographies of Indian Lady scientists, writers like Vikram Seth, ‘Sudha Murty and on Oratory skills. M. Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium using solar energy only was made by VIII students Smart city, LED dancing on music beat, uses of light in Medical field were also worth mentioning projects.
On the same day school also organised blood donation comp in which parents and teachers enthusiastically donated their beloved.
Automatic Street light, Robotic Snake, Hydroelectric dam and experiments on refraction and reflection were of great attraction for the visitors.
